What does being saved mean?

Romans 10:9 says If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

You are now saved from the curse that comes from the acts of sin.

Because of the fall of Adam and Eve in Genesis the third chapter, God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of the earth.

John 3:16 says: For God so loved the World , that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Once you have accepted Jesus into your life, you are now denouncing the old ways of living and accepting Him into your heart.

You Must now turn away from old way of life and accept the way of life that Gods word (the Bible) has for us.

Deuteronomy 10:12 tells us to walk in obedience to Him to Love him, to serve the Lord  with all your heart and soul, and to obey the lords commands.  We need to now seek the lord by developing a relationship with Him. Also read Psalms 119 and romans 8.
